About Hep Cat Entertainment

With over 30 years in the industry, Adam Shipley is a true music business veteran.

Adam started Hep Cat Entertainment in Orlando, FL in 1989. His talent buying skills quickly made him a major player in Central Florida. He was a talent buyer for Beacham Theater, Sunset Serenades as well as House of Blues Orlando.

In 1998, Adam moved to New Orleans with an offer to become talent buyer at the legendary, Tipitina’s music venue. Adam was instrumental in the resurgence of the club. He booked and promoted over 200 shows a year.

Adam moved on to run another New Orleans music institution in 2008. He managed Preservation Hall along with The Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Since 2010, Adam has been focusing 100% of his efforts on Hep Cat Entertainment, a full service entertainment company. Among his projects are, management for The Soul Rebels, Walter Wolfman Washington, and Valerie Sassyfras. As well, talent buying for Hogs for the Cause, Universal Studios Orlando, Wednesdays on the Point, Zurich Classic, and Emeril’s Foundation. In recent years, he has promoted various concert events including The Alabama Shakes, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats, Portugal the Man, St Paul and the Broken Bones, Tank and the Bangas, and many more.

He also does consulting for various clubs and festivals.

After living and working in New Orleans for over twenty years, Adam Shipley has established himself as the top resource for entertainment in the city.
